whatnumbers u puttin down now?
outstanding truck looks very good. It's nice to see someone put some good effort into there truck. Trucks are a fetish for this man (can't wait to get the new taco).
The only thing that looks odd to me is your intake. I see you have that air scoop but I would have directed the intake to the front and build a housing around it that seals against the hood when closed, so you would get the benifits of the cold air vent that you have there all the more.
nut none the less a very great looking setup, what kind of numbers are you running on that setup, what typee of tires are on the rear, and did you do anything to transfer weight to back end?
trucks looking good jack and happy bday.

the air is going to be superheated by the turbo anyway and then cooled back down by the intercooler the difference in temp wouldnt really make much difference.

no they were directed at a friend of mine... but from now on i'll just respond to comments posts directly at me on this public forum....
the extra .5 hp he'll pick up really isnt worth the hassle of fabbing up everything needed for what you want him to do. most turbo cars dont even run filters at all so they suck in all the under hood hot air and still make huuuuge numbers.

i am "chilled out" i'm saying that "cold air intakes" on turbo intercooled cars arent worth the hassle:horsepower ratio. KISS keep it simple stupid

KISS keep it simple stupidthen i guess buy you bringing up the KISS thing you mean he should have left the engine alone and not turnoed it. difficulty is the whole reason why we mod our vehicles, if we did things the simple way we wouldn't mod out the cars, truck or whatever we own.

obviously not, or i never would've built my srt. by kiss i mean dont get in over your head, thats why many projects are started yet never completed.

Ya, damn Yani...lol Well were going to make a box for the hell of it and still are, plus we have all the sheet metal we need, and you know we love to fab up shit. And yes it's all 100% in house(literally at my house) fabed up.
did you build that manifold?

No, I had someone build it. I am going to build a new one my self out of stainless to mount the turbo up high and get it away from my altenator(it's killin' it).

I know a few that moved there fuel cell to the bed and over the wheels to bring some more weight to the back.
again beautiful truck.

Nothing else, I will be doing a 4 link with HKS or some brand for an RSX coil overs and a fuel cell. I don't really do it as for traction( I don't believe a 25-40 pound battery will aid to much for traction), I don't like to get all engineering like with all the technical stuff that never works right, if you know how to drive, you will do well. I don't care how much weight you have back there...if you launch hard with a lot of power, chances are you won't get traction for a bit. This truck doesn't get launched like a mad man, the turbo spooles up fast enough and have a 5 speed with a 4.56 geared LSD. It hauls ass for what it is.
Thanks also for the good comment. So what are you going to turbo, the truck or the MKII?

I hear you on the battery not making lot of difference. although I worked with a friend of mine to help transfer weight to the back of his truck. we put a hard tonoue on the bed and moved everything that didn't need to be under the hood to the bed (radiator, computer, fuse asseblies, and other crap), i think it was like a hundred in total that we transfered to the bed, it helped some but it was a hell of a lot of work to do to a 98 s-10. maybe more than it's worth.
I like the 4 link that should help a lot with keeping that axel straight. We had just done some slap bars on his he liked to have a little bit of flex on his.
for the launching right, deal anyone who drives a truck should know to lay off the launch power. you'd have to be an idiot not do that. When i was stationed in VA. there was a kid that had supercharged his truck but was to dumb to lay off the pedal on launches. it always screwed him in the end.
I don't know if you posted but what kind of 1/4 times does that sexy beast run?

Well, it was able to keep up with a Z06 till he hit 4th gear and bye bye was the Z06....
Ya, the 4 link will also be to slam it lower to the ground too(if permisible by the chassis).

Ya, the 4 link will also be to slam it lower to the ground too(if permisible by the chassis). just do a C notch in the rear and you'd be straight. the front you would just need some drop spindles and you'd be set.

Yes, c notch it will get, and I already have drop spindles and torsion bars that untighted to lower it more also. it's a total of 3.25" drop up front and 5" in the rear.

if not what are you trying to go for in the end?

2.6L 4ZE1, factory engine. Yea you can if you want to dish out a lot of money and can find a truck that runs with thate engine. They are rare. But Isuzu has no after market support you are better off with a Chevy. I only did this cuz I am crazy.
