I don't understand whats going on at ebay motors. I can't login for some reason. And quite a few MKIVs' are for sale for $5000...I think its a scam, but if it is, can someone enlighten me on how this scandal works? I even saw and NSX with a Buy-It-Now of $5000...

Grimmer: VERY GOOD idea but I can't login.
TypeRKoncepts: The Buy-It-Now on ebay is just that, you are automatically the winning bidder and you get whatever the item is.

How could this be a scam? I tried thinking of ways of how someone can make fraudulent profit and i cant think of anything :braindead:
something with money orders, over seas banks, and the bidder losing all his money.

It is a scam for 2 reasons. First, if you use a bank check that is as good as a money order. It does not have to clear and it is instant cash in hand. Second reason is look how many there are with the same pics, same viins and same milage. There is no way in hell that is a coincidence... The only way I would every pay on ebay is with paypal. That way you are covered with buyer protection. I emailed him saying that I would take 5 of the supras right now (yea I am good for it lol) for 25000 and I will pick them up tommorow. I told him that I live 125 miles from him and that I would bring a 18 wheeler car transport to take them away. I have yet to get a responce. We will see... My guess is that he doesnt even respond.

H U H?
Correct.
You win bid, or place a buy it now.
Send money order, check, money gram or wire transfer.
Seller bounces.
You shit out of luck without the money and without the car.

Nah. I'd rather not. Lil bit made a point though. I still don't understand why ebay doesn't take action for these things.

Nah. I'd rather not. Lil bit made a point though. I still don't understand why ebay doesn't take action for these things. They do, its just a matter of a couple of days for it to catch up.
Its also really hard for ebay to track them down and close the auctions. Think about it, they are selling a car, they are offering basic information needed. Ebay banks on these listings. As long as basic information is there, they do not have to take the auctions or sales down.
We all you cannot get a bad ass car for cheap, but does Ebay? Do you think they care?
