Yeah, I agree 100% about the mesh. I know the owner personally, and I mentioned this to him, after I saw the pics. He didn't have time to spray the mesh wire, because he received that hood (which was on backorder for months), one day before the show. That didn't leave him enough time to prep the car, and paint the mesh. It was basically, a last-minute install. As for the rims and tires, he spent $3k for the full set, so I dunno...you can tell him how you feel about the rims.

Yeah, this was HIN, in Nassau Coliseum; Long Island, NY - less rice, out here. I guess HIN up North is a little more traditional, which allows domestics to compete, too. :dunno:

He sold the Mustang Cobra ages ago - long before you and I even moved to FL, along with his Subaru RS, to get this car. However, he still has the old plates - FRYORICE (pronounced FRY YO' RICE :bowrofl:), from his Mustang Cobra.

Other than a factory installed performance chip, the car is mechanically stock. Hence, being a show car. ;)

whatever...gotta appreciate show cars sometimes. if all the subarus, srts, evo's, vettes, etc. etc. etc. in the world were "fast" then #1 racing wouldn't be fun...and #2 there'd be no one to laugh at. :)

Not exactly factory installed - my bad. In his words, it's a performance ECU reflash, from the dealership.

:wavey: hey at least someone agrees. Wheel choice is important, besides those that he picked were not cheap, so there were plenty of other options in that price range.

what year is the car. I recall only about 2 or 3 car shows in the NY area per year. They gave him trophys for what a stock wrx with wheels and headlight film?
They gave him trophys for what a stock wrx with wheels and headlight film?you missed the Carbon Fiber hood.
And i don't think he's using film on those headlights, that looks like some good spray tint that's been buffed and such.

Trophies do not mean much, cause most of the time the judges have no clue what they are doing.
