it was my fault. i looked away for a minute and looked back and there's a van right there. the van of course was fine. just some paint chipped off. ludes suck for getting in wrecks. i was wanting to sell it anyway but i didn't want it to happen this way. too soon. o well.....now i HAVE to get a new car and i'll get something better and faster ;)

yea i think it might be for the better. i just hope everything works out ok. ya know? and i hope its worth more than what i think. it should be totaled out b/c it looks like my last prelude that was wrecked. there were some things about to wrong anyway and my damn cv axles were popping already again! not even a yr of having the new ones. josh (grimmer) made a little video of it lol for memories :)

yeah it doesnt look as serious as she made it out to be she def needs a hood and the drivers side fender but other then that the bumper can be fixed. with the money they give you just hit up a certifit and you can get most of the shit you need really cheap and just keep the extra money and rock the flat black till you save up enough for your new car

and a 92 prelude with 170xxx miles on it with synchros (sp) going bad and some other shit isn't worth any of that trouble.

She needs 2 fenders, a hood, all lights, new radiator, new power steering pump, new radiator mount/brackets oh, not to mention that that big stain you see... its OIL.... All in all just from looking at it I would say there is about 3500-4000 worth of damage (to include body shop and spray cost)... Not worth it... She will be pimping my 11 second galant for a bit... Hope she can handle it... kakakaka

You are talking to somone that has spent a lot of hours working on her car saving her about 3 grand of work (along with shane). I have hook ups all over central florida and unless the body shop hooks me up like they never have before it will be around that amount.

it depends man. when i got in an accident wayyyyyyyyy back with my accord i had a similar collision and my neighbor fixed it for alot less then 3k. The body parts are cheap certifit sells most of the shit she will need cheap. Me and danny recently bought some parts from certifit because our freinds girlfreinds accord was messed up. The fenders were like 40 each the bumper was 35 and the headlights were 100 for the set. Alot of that other shit you can get from a junk yard or a place like honda specialists for real cheap. The most expensive part would be the frame damage. Mine wasnt that bad we fixed it with a peice of wood and a basketball

For her, it might not be worth going through the hassle of doing everything herself. First off, she lives in Orlando so makes it harder to find/ access parts. I'd just accept whatever the insurance company deems that the car is in it's current state and go from there. It might just be more beneficial to her (from what she is saying) to have the car be a total loss.

werd the reason i was saying she tries to fix it was because of some of her previous statements where she needed the car a little bit longer to get out of soem debt and then start saving for her new car. W/e it all depends on how much frame damage she has like you said she might bank off it if its minor you cant really tell.

when do you find out how much they are giving you or when is an adjuster coming

^^she has that covered in regard to debt so thats not a problem... the car is done for and will be totaled... but after talking to her on the phone a few minutes ago its not as bad (in the sence of outcome) as we thought it was going to be.

i found out how much...i get $3600 then they take out the $500 deductible then they pay my loan that i have b/c that car is up for collateral (sp) so that will leave me with like 1200 maybe. and even if ididn't have the loan and i could fix the car, which i don't think there's frame damage, its not exactly easy finding prelude parts. its getting easier now b/c so many people have them now and so many people ahve been wrecking but its still not that easy from a junkyard. at least near by.

anyway i came out way better than i thought i would. so they obviously used the kbb instead of black book like they did with my last. so now i'm getting a 99 civic, silver, perfect condition, 70k miles, $4k from my grandfather. so no loan, no interest i'm good to go and its worth more. so i'm kinda coming out better for when i'm ready to sell and get my next car.
