that was in my sig before one of the admins hacked it to hell and it got erased along with some other things. But i would say a type-r is more like a dream then an si lol. i still remember when there was 2-3 threads a week about type-r's being stollen.

There is a kid at my school that drives the new SI. I think his dad owns a dealership or something but its an SI, im almost positive. He sometimes parks near me, and if he does tomorrow, ill be sure to take pictures so you guys can see... Of course now that i say that he wont park near me for a week...

as far as theft, I dont think it will be stolen as much as the type R's or the em1. Reason why? chipped keys, the 01 civics have em and they are not on the top stolen cars like the 96-00 civics or 94-01 integras which dont have a chipped key. The chipped keys make a big diff, mustang at one time were stolen at a high rate but once ford introduced the chipped keys they are no where to be found on the top theft lists

type-r's have imobilizers and they still get stollen....same with RSX's....if someone wants a car they will get it.

but rsx's are not on the lists of top stolen vehicules in the United states.....

and also the imobilizers were put on the ITR's on the model years 2000 and 2001 which are not on the list (at least the lists that I've seen dont have em)

I do agree with the "if someone wants a car they will get it" but just wanted to give people another perspective before jumping the gun

well its simple to understand that older cars are going to be stollen more often because there is a huge parts market for it. Easier to sell parts since everyone needs to fix old cars. Yeah the new si will have a chipped key and yes people will find away around it....im sure a lot will get sollen so people can get the motor.
