I dunno if this is in the right section but whatever...
can a license plate be transferred from one car to another legally? (cause i can already imagine some responses i might get from some of you jerks.) if so, how do i do it and how long does it take? i've searched online everywhere and either theres no information or im just looking in the wrong places.. halp. :(

Yes you can, all you need to do is go to the court no a Tag place (they take forever and they charge a lot) and just tell them that you need to change the plate from X car and transferer to the new car. Now i did this on the Broward county court I dont know where you are but try and find the closes court.and it shouldn't take that much i think you would get you new registration on the spot.

go to the court and just take all the papers you have from both car registration, title, and your driver license and tell them you want to tranfer the plate and i think that would take care off.

for now, i just have a honda until october or november when i go get an is300. (im determined to get one) school definitely caught me off guard financially. i didnt have any financial aid or anything like that so i had to pay in full for everything, but i'm better prepared for next semester.. i'd post pics, but u know... lol. i just want to keep it safe so i dont go blowing money on a car when im saving for my dream car.
as soon as i get the is300, i wont mind posting pics.

Well, it's very good to hear that you have your priorities set straight. Cuz if you stick to school then when you graduate you'll be able to buy any care you want!
I began seriously considering an IS300, and was even torn between it or a G35 coupe, but I've got my sights set on the G35. I'm just happy that everything worked out for me since I've told everyone and their mother that I was getting one so now I won't look like an asshole cuz I'm making it happen.
Hope it works out well for you too.

if its still valid meaning it hasnt expired. take the unexpried tag, and proof of insurance for the car that is going to be titled. its like $8.XX so i'd say take a 10 spot. if the tag is expired you still need to do all of the same that was mentioned above except pay renwing price also which i think if from $50-$60.

I WOULD PAY TO HEAR HER CALL ME DADDY. oops my capslock was on sorry
lmao, i've done this many times. all you do is go to the tag office and bam, 5 minutes and it's done. costs next to nothing to do it as well. I have switched plates between my vehicles a few times just for the hell of it.
just don't forget to renew on your birthday or you'll be riding with expired tags. doesn't matter if you change the plates or get a plate 3 months before you still have to renew on your birthday ( I sitll say that's screwed up but whatever!)
