stoplight encounter with an IS250

my coworker just got an IS250 and i ran him tonight at a stoplight.

he caught me sleeping at the light and put a car on me. at the top of 3rd i had a few cars on him. i dunno what those cars are supposed to put out but they arent very fast. which is kind of a shame, cause i used to really like the IS series.

there is anotehr one out..thats the slow version, they also have the is 350 RWD..was it a 250 AWD?

cuz the 250 was said to be sluggish...a big difference between the 250 and the 350...also was it auto?

Yeah I have seen the IS250 more on the road but its the cheaper more base version of the Lexus. The 350 from what ive seen in terms of reviews looks pretty good. I think 0-60 in 5.3 or something although dont quote me on that...

IS 250 has about 200hp. That is no match for an STI. The old IS's had about 200hp. and the IS350 has 300hp I believe. That might have been a better run for your car.

yeah the 250 is a bit slugish me and gtr rider along with some other peeps were at the lexus ride and drive. the 250 dragged ass the awd one felt weird as hell. The 350 on the other hand hauls some ass i think the car is rated at 13.7 on the 1/4 mile with the auto tranny. Its pretty quick. It would keep up with your sti alot better then the 250 would. Supposedly there is talk about bringing in a 6 speed to the line up in the future and that should give the car a little bit more pep.

I like the car its pretty pimp and alot faster then the bmw that it competes with but the bmw is alot faster around the corners

The IS250 is pretty swift for what it is, but it lacks lots of things(AWD sucks in that car).. the 350 on the other hand good god tq like no other. It handles real nice(RWD) and also the power of the car is throughout the rpm.
