}{yBr!D^

Cause I'm looking for a "Family SUV" or a Van (Family DUH!)... We need something bigger so those 3 were the choices... Xterra = no lol... so if anyone brings that up there's your answer lol.

omg, a -future- minivan dad. lol
dude, don´t do this to yourself, armada ftw
you have a car, just use that for the first couple of years. a SUV will just cost you way to much in the longrun, more gas more maintenance. insurance like a SOB, You don't need a SUV trust me my brother went that rout now he's pissed because he has one and all it does is eat gas and the ride is rough as hell in 90% of suvs campared to cars. So it keeps the kids awake when they could be sleeping in the back.

Yes, I have a car.. but my gf has a 2DR Tercel... you know how hard it is to sit put a baby in the back seat and take it out? She's already tried the "I'll have to use your car and you'll use mine" pfft!!!! So, a bigger vehicle is needed for her. Have you ever been in a Armada/Pathfinder/Quest (Regardless of year)?
I've been in a 95 Quest, 98 Pathfinder and a 04 Armada.... they all make my car's ride seem like an Off-road vehicle... lol... remember my suspension is modified and my car rides stiff... I doubt the child would like the ride of my altima...
}{yBr!D^
12-13-2005, 03:46 AM
Well, its her decision really, I'm just putting the technical insight for her lol... she knows about the guzzling fuel issues of some SUV's... but she wants/needs a bigger vehicle in general.. she doesn't drive much but needs the room for the baby and any extra passangers... a Murano is nice 9to me) but she doesn't like it... if I were to go with the thought of fuel then the Quest would win being that it has the same motor as the Murano... or go inbetween with the Pathfinder being a VQ40DE... even though I picked the Armada, I think she should get the Pathfinder...
}{yBr!D^
12-13-2005, 04:12 AM
I personally think the Murano looks like the Lexus RX330h... she thinks differently, lol.
Yea the Murano does sound good... but Sound and Looks don't go hand in hand for her lol.

dude I wouldnt spend 40gs on a van
the armada gets horrible gas mileage, I think its like 12 city?
my bro had the 2000 path and now he has the new one. my bro beats the fuck out of the car. I mean like no other, when he would go over 100 the car would sway left to right like wtf, blew the tranny and everything was fixed under warranty. I like the new path, its very nice, 1st one with 3rd row, it gets my vote

do you really have to get an SUV? I mean seriously it's only one kid and you don't really need to be wastin' that much gas. ifyou're bent on it, why not the hybrid toyota suv?

Yea, I agree on this. I mean I can understand with like 3 kids or something, but for a family of JUST 3 I think it's a bit much. Too, you guys are young and starting off with a baby. I'd get a feel for it financially and what not. Don't get in over your head, because it will cost a lot of money, among the costs of raising a baby. The car shouldn't be a priority and you can def. find something used and sufficient for the 3 of you.

I understand the expensies that goes with buying a new vehicle in general... Armada is massive, I've been in one and rides so smooth... doesn't feel like a SUV. Now, this is mainly Michelle's decision not mine. I didn't say to her "you can only get Nissan", I did price quotes and such and Nissan came out cheaper with the goodies... Plus, if she had to choose she'll get a RX330 over all the nissan's and will be double of what its really worth... toyota in general is over priced...

I wouldn't get an SUV. I'd look into some sort of economical car that actually gets good gas mileage and has 4 doors as well.

ive sat in both the size diffference is minimal. The fuel consumption is alot better on the honda. The honda wins the car and driver awards every year to its for a reason.

the honda i think would be a better choice here. looks pretty good as well.
My main point would be crash ratings on these vehicles as well, got to protect them little ones as much as possible.

most of you bring up some very goooooood points aswell as some good ideal vas and such but really the reason why i'd pick the armada would be for the looks that shit is sooooooo sexy... but for real i'd go for a van.... and if not a van then a maxima.... but the getto ass vans dropped with rims.... i don't think so when and if i'd do something with whatever car i get next i'd try to make it look good.. why get a van to drop i think that shit is stupid!!! that like lowering a truck/suv... but w/e thats just me
