County line drag, the truth y its not 1/4 mile.

i actually talked to one of the developers and board members for the countyline track.

The Reasons its not 1/4

1. it cost about $100,000 for 1/8 mile of track.
2. the stoping portion of the track must be 2x the length of the racing portion.
3. there is not enough space at the opposite end of the track to make it 1/4 due to stopping distance regulations
4. the land lease is up in december, why make it 1/4 for 6 months?(this was when i talked to him in july)
5. If they resign the land lease they may make it a 1/4 track by the end of 2008 cause they have to purchase more land. and get money for the track.

hey w/e maybe some people dont know cause they always ask why its not 1/4 mile. now u have some estimated dates of possible expansion. IF they get funds.

theres hasnt been any decline in street racing activity.

i see people all over 27 getting roped.

i doubt they'll even keep it running.

Lets do this...Lets collect $1 from all of us and people we know that love to race...
I know is a least 20k people means $20k than u give me the $$$ and i do the paper work to get a loan to buy more land!!! the 20K dollars are going to be use as a 10% down payment...

If i dont get the loan approved than "Of course" i will be more than happy to return everybodys dollar!!!
