Can anyone give me any advice as to how to purchase a used bike as I could not see myself dropping a new bike? Any signs to watch as far as condition of bike? Can bikes be flipped? Which are the most dependable as The research I have comes up empty.

dropped bikes are ok, crashed bikes are not lol, go to Rick Case Honda, they sell used dropped bikes (suzuki, yamaha, honda..duhh and kawasaki) for a nice price... all are there, new dropped bikes...

when i went they had alot of R1's and CBR's.... omg the CBR1000RR felt just right:crossjerk:

but the R1:crossjerk::3some::crossjerk::3some::crossjerk:

When you go to look at it look at the engine covers for scratches, Look at the stuff that sticks out pegs, levers, handle bars, thats how you will know if it was dropped. Turn the bike on make sure it wasnt warmed up before you got there. see if it starts right up. Let the bike run, the fan should turn on at about 210 degrees. See if once the fan turns on the temp drops. see that it dosnt overheat. listen for roughness in the motor, knocks or ticks. Ask questions. When you ride it try to wheelie(best way to check the clutch). try both brakes. at like 30 put it in neutral and let go the handle bars to see if anything is bent (hopefully you dont crash into a wall). If you dont know much about bikes take someone with you, thats the best bet.
