275 mph Viper?

According to the front cover of Max Power a 1500hp Viper did 275mph....Looks like a comp coupe....February issue of Max Power...Interesting...Wonder which tuner built the car....

Hennesey did a turbo Comp Coupe, probably them...

A true speed of 275mph? NOT TRUE. This purpose built (non street legal) road race Comp Coupe Viper DID NOT go 275mph anywhere. It did go 225 in one mile but SVSPOWER went faster at 231.66. The fastest TOPSPEED recorded from a Viper is 246.742mph in 2001 by SVSPOWER. The 275 is HYPE.
