in order to tune it you will need a piggy back / standalone. people generally go with either an safc or greddy emanage as far as piggy backs are concerned or an aem ems as far as standalones are concerned.
i don't really think there's any such thing as a "stage 3" wastegate. although agp does make billet aluminum wastegates. there's really no tuning involved for that.
if you're looking to make more serious power, i will have a turbo upgrade kit, with almost everything you will possibly need to do it, up for sale very soon.
lujan did a lot of tuning for srt's. but pablo . . . the main person that did the tuning is not working there any more.
anyone that can work with any of the systems i listed for you should be able to tune the car depending on what you end up with.
p.s. my boyfriend did all the tuning for my car while it was on the standalone, and he is familiar with afc setups as well. he may be willing to tune it once you get one of those, just let me know.

a mitsubishi turbo doesn't automatically mean the entire car can be classified as an import. IIRC the only mitsubishi part on the car is the manifold and turbo.

alright cool, so a piggyback or standalone is def required..
the AGP wastegate on the car is the billet one, a few SRT owners that looked at it told me its a very common upgrade to go stage 3 , also on turboneonstore.com they list the same wastegate as a "stage 3" wastegate, idk..

stage 3 is a common upgrade but it's not, by far, achieved with merely the AGP wastegate upgrade. It's mainly composed of a different ECU/PCM program, injectors, and larger turbo. It's a MOPAR upgrade and it's quite costly. Not worth it if you ask my opinion. With an aftermarket turbo upgrade kit you can make a lot more power, and have more tuning capabilities depnding on what tuning system you go with.

you should do two things
first buy EV's turbo
second get your car tuned by the guy i just quoted

in reference to having to buy a stand alone or piggy back for tuning, doesn't sct make a handheld tuner for the srt-4?

I would seek Pablo for this....
But honestly you need a tuning device in order to tune unless someone can tap into the ecu and play with the settings.
I know SAFC's work on these cars. but you will throw codes if you have stock ecu with no stages and you overboost (which is common with the srt4).

they have a stock turbo wga upgrade which is the billet one , ...and then they have the stage 3 wga which was made soley for the stage 3 kit owners ....
if ur gonna tune the car might as well piece out for a bigger turbo then spend the cash on a decent tune ....the stock turbo is really worth getting tuned. im sure itll run fine with the current mods and about 16psi.

it's cute. but for the amount of money you pay, you can get something that can make alot more powah. even the used kits are just stupid in cost.
don't worry, i don't blame u. u bought the car like that.
