Why would you compare a Corvette to a Lamborghini though? That there are two different reasons to buy a car IMO.

Also, if you have enough money to buy a ZR-1, you shouldn't have to worry about not having warranty on an 11 sec street bucket.

People with 100k to put on a car, honestly quite dont care to mod somthing with 200whp stock and waste there time to get it modded and at the same time go to work, go out on the weekends and have to worry about the detonation, pinging, and boost leaks...


Most probably ppl with this money have HIGH end paying jobs, they probably enjoy speed but not really have a passion for modding, street racing and drag racing and most probably have alot to loose..

When buying a car for 100k IMO there is alot more to it than a 1/4 and 0-60, I mean if that was the case we would all just get the RSX :biggthumpup:

actually, if i was in the market for a supercar i'd take a hard look at lambo's ferrari's and the zr1. all three cars target the same kind of owner with different size pocket books. they're street cars with track pedigree. any of those cars would kick ass around a road course, the zr1 might actually be the fastest on a track. we'll have to wait for test results. if you're buying a drag car, look else where. if you want a supercar then you've come to the right place.

as far as the mustang vs evo argument...ive spent plenty of time in both, stock and modded, and the evo is just a better all around car. the way i judge that is the fun-to-drive factor, no homo. the evo is just too easy to tool around town in whether youre hugging the curb, or giving a little gas to it on a highway...IMO of course. i wont take anything away from the mustang, but the evo is just more of a drivers car to me. it encompasses many more performance aspects than the stang whether stock or modded.

two of my best friends have both cars, so believe ive spent my time in either of them.

on topic- the zr-1 is just bad ass. whether you admit it or not, GM has indeed set its sights on lamborghini and ferrari with this car. i no longer think it is ridiculous to compare the makes just because one doesnt have the "prestige" of being Italian. the numbers will speak for themselves.
