Well I bring this topic over here because ultimately I like to get others opinions from time to time. For about three years now my supplier has been Eclipse CCTV. Most of their products are of decent quality and exceptionally cheap prices. (Especially since I know the owners)
Does anyone else know of any companies LOCAL to 954-305 that sells CCTV Equipment along with Access Control Panels, etc...?
Just recently I acquired a contract with Karu & Y Ultra lounge. Later Today we plan the budget (which I have stayed up all night as you can see 6am) and I already performed the walk through of the entire building. (From their 24 cameras they want an additional 26, including proximity sensors and the whole works). This is a big project, I’ve done a system with a 16 channel BOSCH standalone nearly as big yet more intricate so it’s not my first walk in the park install yet, and the one question that Karu’s owner and I are contemplating is overkill. The idea is to go to a club to feel “free” and have fun, not be dreading every corner a video camera catching your every move.
Do you feel/think that too many cameras even if they are hard to see under dark club type conditions are overly too much?
Also anyone know of any other places with innovative but GOOD cameras with professional reliability?
Feel free to chime in.
if you're watching for camera's you're doing something wrong, imo. safety is what you want to look out for, but i think you may be putting in way too many cameras..

Well safety is in mind.
Additionally they've had alot of internal theft, so they want to step things up. In wine's alone they have over $100k, In coolers that all bartenders and servers have access to. Also their stock room which has all the hard liquor (Vodka, Rum, Cognac, and some Champagne) has about the same amout of value along with drinks and other essentials.
In total they have over 30 cash registers about 10-12 points of entry/exit, safe room, office, etc.....
So when you start to make all the math you'll realize that at this moment they are under powered. IIRC last year in one month they lost over 15k in bottles alone. So camera's along with access controls so that everytime an employee needs to open a cooler they will be held responsible. therefore reducing theft and profit's increasing.

Ive never noticed cameras inside a club or bar in my life. When your drinking thats the last thing your looking for. The employees will know they are there and the cameras will keep them honest, so I think its a good idea. As far as company goes just go to walmart and they sell these fake cameras with a blinking red light on them.

Why would you want to delete clips?
The system should automatically loop erasing old video as it is recording new events.
What type of DVR is it?

No idea how to get anywhere on this comp. All the main files require a password to enter them or to change any setting,I dont even think its connected to the internet. I just found a file with like 100 clips of hot chicks in the elevators lol, my boss is a pedo.

lawl we just merged with another company that did some magoo ass setups, arrso/karu being one of them. I've seen the nightmare rack they have, and I'm probably gonna be the one that has to clean it up.

I guess it all depends on the club, at my age now if I go out I would not care because I would be drinking. If I was 20 and going out and in my "party" phase I would not go there.
fuck the people. Look out and cover your own ass big brothering your own place FTMFW. they dont like it, they dont need to be there.
