sfwd is still being run today, its just not the premiere class anymore. but it looking like hotrod by body work, the cars are still stock suspension.

i have nothing to back it up but i think he may have

the smaller ligher 24.5x13 with more sidewall can hook almost as well as the 26x15 on the launch and accelerate quicker due to weight. but once you cross the 1/8th mile and tonys front end (no drag from the tires sticking out of the sides), bigger heavier tires (more inertia on the big end), and ram air (who knows what it makes in power since you cant dyno ram air at 130+ mph) kick in, its over and he picks up almost 10 mph on medina.
