aim has german police trade in sig sauer p225 (or p6 as the germans designate them) for about 270 with a holster and two mags.
just a thought.
And if you are LE you usually get a better deal.

Last gunshow I went to I held one. Very comfortable, slim grip since it's single stack. You really cant beat the price for a Sig but the early 80 P6s have feeding issues with hollow points, and you never know how bad they are going to be externally.

i read that a minor mod to the feed ramp will fix the HP issue and that the holster wear could be cleaned up a lot with the right products. it's not going to be a showpiece but it's a cheap way to get a quality gun.

I know someone personally who has one in .40, but it doesnt get much usage.
From what i've read up on them, the first generation had a few problems here and there but the new production models seem to have all the kinks worked out.

There are two gunshows coming up next month. I went to one in September and a dealer had a couple. Try your luck by going. Even if you pay 300 for one its a deal cause no shipping or FFL transfer fee.

true. most FFL fees down here are about 25-30 so it's pretty much even AND you get to take your pick of weapon/mags. I really don't care about the holster as I obviously can't open carry.
I'm probably going to the Nov1 gun show

I have Saturday classes at FIU so i might pass by the show at the fairgrounds since its around the corner.
If you're planning on taking the concealed weapons class, like i said in the other thread:
"Wait for the Ft. Lauderdale gun show on November 29-30 to take the course, save yourself ~$40."

You remind me of a little kid (prob 9-10) i saw at a gunshow drooling over a chromed out desert eagle saying "this is my favorite'ist gun"
