Well, i spoke a few minutes ago with my gf's bestfriend who happens to be the sister of the guy who owns Florida Gun Center. She spoke with her brother and they normally offer the class @ $85, but for our group they will do it for $65! So i need to know who is down to go so we can set up a date and if we have alot of people the discount will probably be even more.

So far i have two buddies who are wanting to go with me, which makes 3.

Im going to give this thread until friday to see who is down to go, and then we can set a date so i can give this guy a call and let him know how many of us are going, and how we set the date and payment.

Personally,i dont ever see myself needing to carry my gun. But i do want the option to be able to carry it.

the only time i ever need to conceal a piece is when im going into a situation that im going to get robbed. if an attempt to rob me happens turst me it wont matter of the weapon was concealed or not. for the most time you can just keep it in your car with you, you can keep it at your home, or you can carry it to where its still easily accessible..

i mean to each its own but i thought about getting it till my boy snapped me out of it..

True for everything else but the bolded statement. You need to have a concealed weapons permit in order to carry a gun on your body.

I just want the permit in order to have the option. Just like you said, unless i go somewhere where i may need to defend myself i dont need the gun. But what if i do one day and dont have a permit. God forbid a cop stops me and notices i have a gun without a proper permit.

true...

I see what you mean though. IMO there are four types of people who have weapons permits.

1. People actually paranoid about self defense.
2. People who work in law enforcement and rescue or have hazardous jobs.
3. The "just in case" people
4. Weapons fanatics

I feel like im one of those just incase i need it people.

what you want a CCW for?

You're just making it easier for the feds when they come seize your guns.
