Abuelitos do need that kind of system to be able to hear well. Wouldn't it be cheaper to have bought a hearing aide?
lol...just messin....how much did it all cost?

nice.. gonna have a little thump for the neighbors. lol
I am rocking a 1000 watt kenwood amp which I have to bring the gain down 75% to not blow the RF 12" I have right now .. lawls.. need to save up for a sick 12 that can handle the 1g watts. Plus I would love new mids and high, and amp to power it all.
on a side note, I don't blast miami bass like back in the day but it is always nice to hear music with a full range of sounds available.. a little bass just makes it that more enjoyable and richer.

LOL I know you meant 1k watts. Not 1G ahhah 1G = 1,000,000
Either way I totally agree with you. I prefer to feel the bass than hear it. Specially at low volumes. I never blasted any of my setups only when driving on the highway. When you put a system like this together even at low levels it sounds so much better.
This system cost roughly $1,800 maybe a bit more. I still need the wiring. I plan on going monster cable for the RCAs, some 0awg from battery to three way fused splitter to 4awg to amps. Maybe use some 10awg for the subs and 12 awg for the mids and highs. It will be fun.

LOL.. yea I meant 1 k. It looks like you are putting together a quality system.. you gotta pay to play you know.
I like the fact that you are wiring yourself, I'll never pay for someone to wire a system for me when you can do it yourself with a little research and some common sense. Plus it feels so rewarding when you get it all done and crank it (after you trouble shoot the gremlins out for an hour LAWL!!).

souds like a decent sql setup. i had a set of JL components in the accord that i ended up replacing with a set of CDT comps and the JL's were great.
if you have any 4awg wiring left over, make sure to do the big three. cheap upgrade that really goes a long way in helpout out your electrical system
