Anyone know what's needed to do this?

Convert gas car to ethanol.

Fuel pump/lines? :dunno:

injectors.

iirc you need a 40% increase in your injector to flow the ethanol.

are you trying to make power on it or just run it for economical purposes?

i believe its a little less. you will need bout 27-30% more fuel to remain stoich since stoichiometric for e85 is roughly 9.7:1.

youre going to need to go with bigger injectors , a fuel pump (any walbro intank should do the trick) to make sure you have enough fuel going to the motor and i would personally add to that SS lines since ethanol is highly corrosive and WILL eat up factory rubber lines over time. additionally, if you have a bare aluminum gas tank the ethanol will eat up the aluminum. a steel pan or a coated aluminum pan will work fine.

if youre doing it to save money, forget it cause you wont. the only real positive of converting to e85 is the fact that e85 has a 105 octane rating, thus allowing you to advance timing a little and make a little more power before knocking.

if you have any other questions, PM brendon or myself

30% MORE FUEL than what your running now to equal the same amount of horsepower as far as the fuel pump Only the weldon ive seen been able to handle ethanol. but well worth it as alot are pushing the limits of C16, Ethanol has 3times the colling effects of race gas. not only that but race gas takes longer to reduce detonation as ethanol is almost instant!

as of right now there are alot of places using 10% ethanol but E85 are only at Ugas stations

these are the weldon pumps you will need!

if you're shooting for big power then a weldon would be your best choice.

double pumps should be more than enough for a decent power set up.

My truck is Flex Fuel and runs E85. If you ever need to look through the engine let me know. ON another note i still dont trust the E85 production and lately ive been seeing alot of issues with clogged to hell fuel injectors/pumps.

U-Gas is selling E-70 at the moment FYI. On the STI if you want to make power a Walbro is not going to do it for you. (unless you go with a twin setup) For injectors I would recommend about 1000 cc injectors. Like Steven said, E-85 uses roughly 27% more volume than gasoline. I am maxed out with my 750cc injectors. I will try and gather up some more info. I have to find it all over again because I totally wiped out my computer a few weeks ago. I tune for 11.5-1 when running e-85. That is just to be safe. I am still running a stock 7 bolt block.
