Well after seeing Tati's thread on her bike build up, I have decided it's time for me to finish repairing my track bike.
I had a crash Jan 07 at Jennings GP and I ended up breaking my arm. My bike has been in my garage since and I haven't done anything to finish fixing it from the crash. The damage was very mininal, mostly plastic components it's gonna be an easy build.
The bike already has a full akra system, but after watching this video clip, I wanna run take out the akra can and run a straight pipe. So I'm gonna call this build "Project Screamer"

Here are some pics of my bike as it stands now.

Trackdays are a ton of fun and after you do one, your gonna never want to ride on the streets again
March 29 there is a trackday at homestead, hosted by Florida track days, they have great, safe and well organised track events. I'm friends with several of the control riders, they are all very nice and you just ask them to follow you around and show the race line. They are there to help first time and novice riders that want to learn. The track is the best place to learn. Leave your ego at home and you will do fine.

you can rent track suits there..if not..PMS sells them so you can try one on for size and if you dont like the price atleast you'll know if it fits and you can search online for deals

"just in case" purchases are the best investments...they always come in handy

You can rent a suit from rhino leathers, thay are a sponsor of florida track days, or you can get a suit for less than 600, the first time you go to track and buy all the gear, its gonna be a big expense, but from then on its not as espensive since you will already have your gear, so don't let the first time expense discourage you.

I wonder if the bike runs ??? I haven't tried to turn it since my crash. I don't think I'll have any problems when I get ready to crank it up, gonna try to get it ready to run by this weekend

ok, quick update
I'm having an electrical problem, I bought a new battery and pluged everything up and the bike won't start. My power commander won't even turn on.
Gotta look and try to find the problem.
Oh by the way does anyone know where I can buy stainless steel tubing.

damn spidi i was thinking about trying to take my buddies bike out to the next rack day but aside from it needing a new battery, all new fluids, and a simple tune up. i notice that shit needs a back tire badly so im going ot have to pass on it once again. trying to build an engine now and fuck spending extra money right now. i'd still like to make it out and see whats going on with all that.

yeah I know tires are espensive, but you can always buy a set of race take offs and use those. Much better than street tires and cheaper as well.
You can get a set for around 50-100 bucks
