I'm planning to hit up the test and tune tonight. I'll more than likely head up around 7. anyone else interested in caravaning up. I'm meeting up with a Maxima, Integra, and a few others I believe.

dont waste your time leaving at 7, you'll get there at 9 and still have to tech, you'll be lucky to get one pass.

might as well leave at7.. 5:30 is rush hour. if you cant leave by 4 pm its not worth going.

^^ unless u leave by the latest 4:30 n go by the turnpike and have sunpass n go at least 80 mph, u won't make it at a good time. thats if ur in miami. if ur up in broward i dunno, but leave as early as possible

My first time launching a fwd manual car at the track. So I'm staged against a mustang. I guess it kinda made me nervous since I knew it'd beat my ass. But whatever. I stage. Hold the car at three grand. Start slipping the clutch at the third yellow. But I guess I let off it to fast so the car bogged. On top of that, I thought I red lighted so I didn't want to push it to hard after getting a red light then I saw that it was green so I got back in it.(all that happened in a matter of 1 second). Get clean shifts all the way down the track and I see the 17.4 out the corner of my eye when I get down to the end.

Well before this run me and my friends were fucking around reving at each other in the staging lanes. So while I'm doing that I realize the car won't rev past 5K with the clutch pushed in. I think to my self, 'sweet I got a stutter box stock......LAUNCH CONTROL!!!!!!!' So I finally stage against an eg. A kid I went to highschool with who thought he was cooler than me cause he was a streetracer while I was learning about cars. I do a quick burnout till it starts to hop. When it started hopping I assumed the tires were hot so I pushed in the clutch and coasted to the staging lights. I stage and put the clutch to the ground while stomping on the gas. The car's bouncing off the 5K limit I see the third yellow. Slip it a bit then take my foot completely off. The car moved off the line decently, broke loose, and then caught traction before I ran into redline in first gear. I get a clean shift to second, same with third and fourth and in teh corner of my eye I see 16.9.
All I can say is that I got good reaction times.lol Next time I go out I'm shooting for 16.7's. I guess 15's come after some mods. I did see another EP run 14.78 but I didn't get to ask the owner what he had.
Just wondering. If I'm trapping 83, what should the car be doing in the quarter?

stock u should be in the 15.5-15.9@88-89mph
and some have done better

Honda hates you if your trapping 83mph on a stock EP3. What did you trap in your Camry again, 79mph?

why did u do a burnout, for street tires its actually worse.
that probably contributed to your traction issues.
Also 5k is way too high to launch, try different rpm's next time. I'm going next friday most likely.

exactly.....you do a quick chirp to clean em off thats it....ur not on slicks buddy.
Also did you air down your tires alot? that could affect your MPH

I didn't air them down because I didn't bring the air gauge with me and no one around me had one either. Next time I'll air them down and try launching from 4k while slipping the clutch a bit longer.
What should I air them down to? 15psi?
When you go sid. I'll come too, I need more practice.

same offer for me? and dont do 15 psi, its a street tire not a slick. if you want to air it down, keep it in the mid 20's

sure but since the both of you want to get in on it. Lets add a twist. I get to drive your cars too. If I do better than the both of you, in your cars, I get to keep both your cars.:thumbup:

Gotta work on that 60ft as that is whats killing your ET. I honestly thought EP3's trapped higher than that stock though...

i ran at moroso. with a just and intake and ran a 16.16 and 86 mph
