View Full Version : My Radio is asking for a CODE???

I have a stock type R radio in my GSR, so yesterday i was about to switch radio's with my friend only to find out that the radio i was putting in doesn't work. So now i'm putting my oem radio back in and it's asking for a CODE? What do i do now?

you need the code....they usually put the sticker witht he code somewhere in your car but its not your origional one so your screwed. You would have to get the code from the dealership and i dont think they will give it to you because they might think its stollen.

same shit happen to my girl with her teg...you hav to get the code from the dealership...unless you have the cars original manual. Also sometimes its on the radio. In order for you to get the code from the dealer i think you need to call the dealer and give them the serial number or someshit like that. And if you put in the wrong code to many times i think it locks you out or someshit lik ethat. In the end i just bought her a new radio for Xmas.

Get an aftermarket unit so you don't have to deal with that crap again. Thats what I did when I had my Honda.

im not 100% sure but i think u need the vin number for the car it came out of also .Again im not positive

theres a guy on honda tech that can do it i posted it in the integra forum... same thing happened to me a while back...
