i actually raced one last night rolling from first. i have the a stock da9 i mean stock no intake nothing rusted ass exhaust. mind you 2600 lbs and driver which ways 290 and this shit never left my quarter panel. 1991 ls(130) hp vs.2006 si (197) hp that is pretty bad:thumbup:

Seems pretty hard to believe. Are you positive it was an Si? There are some EX coupes that really look like Si's.

most likely an EX, actually on second thought, an EX would most likely beat your car also, I'm sorry but unless you post up a video I call it b/s

rolling is not real racing...Yes it is. If you cant launch, then thats the best way to go. How is it not racing? Arent you comparing mid to high range powerbands between 2 cars?

rsx (high 14's stock) >06 si (low 15's stock)
210hp/143 tq > 197hp/139 tq (both weight about 2800 lbs)

rsx (high 14's stock) >06 si (low 15's stock)
210hp/143 tq > 197hp/139 tq (both weight about 2800 lbs)
In 06 they revised the SAE horsepower ratings and thus the RSX-S is rated at 201hp instead of 210. But honestly speaking, crank horsepower is crap anyways. They both put down similar numbers at the wheels and respond just as nice with bolt ons, its essentially a drivers race.

a couple people have nailed 14.8@96 mph in stock si's already and they got slips ....so both are high 14's capable

the si is setup to run better at the track. it comes from the factory with two engine torque dampners to help eliminate wheel hop. Most races between 06 civic si's and rsx's have been fairly close from what i've seen and read. I'd love to run one myself though and see whats up.

Yea well, they don't work too good.... I prefer spinning than wheel hop...I can't stand the wheel hop these cars have..
Your tranny loves wheel hop tooo

I don't know about the rest of you, but I much rather have a Type-S than a new Si. Not just because it has slightly more hp, simply because it looks better. And because of it's twin brother; the type R.

I only reason I would choose a type-s over an si, is because of the tuning market... Even though it has a k, the tuning option are not available.. They added a maf sensor, which sucks ass... The added DBW which sucks, and they also added a completely new ecu, that even hondata has problems with that shit.. The maf screws everything up, you could do 3 pulls and have 3 completely different numbers come out, if you have any minor mod on the car that affects the airflow...
I like type-s and would've probably got one if I would've known.. But, w.e. I like the car, it handles awesome, and the lsd really helps out substantially around the corners...
