Insider reports suggest that the Camaro may make a comeback on a new Sigma-based platform to be shared with the next GTO. Engines may include a base V6, a 5.3L V8 SS and a 6.0L 6.0L LS2. Styling is leaning towards retro. All this depends on GM untangling a legal mess involving old Quebec plant workers and the Canadian government.

that can't be possible... they wont get any sales really... and will seem pointless to battle against a mustang at that price range.

1969 was never like this, was it? Big block is back in special-edition Camaro SuperCoupe
Articlee Date: 8/18/05

Remember Baldwin-Motion, the New York Chevy dealer partnered with Motion Performance to take stock Camaros, Chevelles, Novas and Corvettes and build them into big block street supremacy from 1967 to 1974? Well now the big blocks are back.

Come the Specialty Equipment Market Association show this November, the re-founded Motion LLC will launch the Baldwin-Motion Camaro SuperCoupe, a tube-chassis monster the cost of which will scare even the captains of industry who might be able to afford it.

“It’s very expensive, said Motion partner Marty Shorr. “It’s not a $100,000 car—it’s considerably more.

While each of the 12 cars planned will be coach-built to customer specs, you can expect a 600-hp, 8.8-liter V8 with aluminum block and heads, steel crank, forged everything, as well as modern niceties like rack-and-pinion steering, Viper-based rear end, gigantic Baer brakes and a five-speed manual gearbox. As Shorr, ever the promoter, says, “It’s the real deal.

Prices will be announced at SEMA.

Yea, I was about to say that... GM isn't stupid enough to make their Camaro's 100K which one will be way more expensive than a Mustang and two will be over priced than a Corvette... they have to keep a standard of price range between the mustang and the corvette... other companies might mess around with it by putting a big block(s) in those cars since they have in the past. Also, I'm sure GM will have many models of the Camaro that will distinguish its price from the base model to the SS and whatever else they want to create that has more power ;) highest it would be is no more than 50K.
