nothings wrong with cutting shit...Just measure and cut it with the right tools, dremel works well...Pull the bumper to work in a comfortable position, run the wires, then hook the battery up to a switch in series and test before securing the lights and the switch...use fuses...its easy...the relays are nothing more than a switch with a delay built into it...
