Also I can not post prices yet because it goes against policies of the forum until we become venders from my understanding. So not to remove the thread we are sorting that out first and once we have we will announce the price. Dont worry about it though it will be under $55

if this thread gets locked it will be because there is no price. you do not have to be a vendor to advertise dyno days. if you come on here advertiseing prices and stuff like that its different.

I was wondering about the same for the $40 2WD dynos. He didn't specify how many pulls, so I'm assuming one.:dunno:

If that's correct, then it's not really a good price, IMO. If I'm not mistaken, I've been posts on here and 305sr, for three dyno pulls @ $60-$75.

Not at that price. Actually, the cheapest I've seen advertised anywhere was 3 pulls w/ AFR @ $50. You have a good point though, since 3 pulls @ $45 would be very competitive.

TypeRKoncepts
04-30-2006, 03:29 PM
speed injected was the same price and for 3 pulls with printouts.

IDK.. and all this time slot business, there is such a thing as over doing it.

yardy8301
04-30-2006, 03:54 PM
1) if you arent adjusting anything what good is a 3rd pull?? and the time slot allows you to not sit on your ass for 40hours not knowing when you are going to go.

EXTREMUM
04-30-2006, 04:08 PM
IMO, if you're not on the dyno without a boost controller, tuning software, and/or nitrous, you shouldn't be using a dyno AFTER the 1st pull.

GDM Z28

1) if you arent adjusting anything what good is a 3rd pull??

3rd gear motor, 4th gear motor, 4th gear nitrous
3rd gear low boost, 4th gear low boost, 4th gear high boost

many other combos

and the time slot allows you to not sit on your ass for 40hours not knowing when you are going to go.

how is that different from any other dyno day? you sign up on a list and when its your turn its your turn. time slots wont change that....if your supose to go at 1 but the cars are taking longer just because its one doesnt mean they will skip the person in front of you so you can go...

EXTREMUM
04-30-2006, 04:26 PM
Most accurate dyno pulls, go according to 1:1 in-gear ratios, or whichever your car's transmission gear can get closest to 1:1. I don't see any sense dynoing off of a lower gear, since its going to throw off your true power ratings.

yardy8301
04-30-2006, 04:27 PM
lets say you are assigned 12pm. you get there at 11:30 and wait. things are delayed a bit so you have to wait till 12:30 to dyno. by 1pm you could leave. 1.5 hours isnt that bad. now if they didnt have the time slots, ESPECIALLY since this is there first dyno day. you get there at 9am because you want to try and beat other people so you dont have to wait till 4pm to dyno. when you get there you see there is already a few people there. at the same time its the shops first dyno so obviously everything isnt going to go perfectly. now there is a chance it might not take long and you could be out of there early but its uncertain. not to mention if you can get there when it opens you are sol.

i see were 3 runs could be useful though. maybe an option for it.

EXTREMUM
04-30-2006, 04:43 PM
Personally, I think the first-come/first-serve approach is kinda wack, for such an event. It would seem more organized to have time slots for everyone, so you don't have to rush out there, and beat everyone to the punch, just to get your car dynoed.

Boostjunkie
04-30-2006, 04:45 PM

I disagree with that. I have some aftermarket parts on my car and would like to see how much power they attribute compared to my stock parts.

amd half the fun of the dyno day is to hang out and see what others pull.

sometimes when you make power....you need to dyno in a higher gear....everyone says hondas put out the right power in 3rd gear but my hatch wouldnt hook on the dyno in 3rd gear....so i had to use 4th.

plus a lot of people at dyno days like to go hang out with friends and have fun and make fun of nissans.....thats what a dyno day is about for most of us. if you really wana see what the car is doing and play around with it rent the dyno for an hour.

Slotting never works correctly. There are so many unforseen things that can happen on dyno days. BTW speed injected was $35 prepay for 3 pulls with wideband and printouts and $40 if you s howed up the day of. I have tryed slotting before and the best is show up and put your name on the list. Leave and come back. Just don't be 3rd on the list at at 9 a.m. and then come back at 4 p.m. expecting to hop right on the dyno. i always try to improve my dyno days and alwasy ask for feedback from everyone that attended and try to work my next dyno day taking into consideration everyones positive and negative feedback from the previous. I plan on doing one in June because I have a job venture that i am working on in May and all my weekends are tied.

To all interested, Note that this dyno is a 424X which there are only 3 in the South Florida area and it is above ground.

Also this is for 2 pulls with AFR and print outs as well. We can always wing it and forgo the registration but this always leads to problems. Majority of the customers are always unhappy and there are a few that don’t mind at all. This Dynoday will not be with out music (DJ's), Food and mild drinks (Non Alcy) by doing the registration; it allows us time in the event of unforeseen circumstances. There will always be issues but by doing this we wish to minimize them and try to insure all have a good time.

Seems there is also a big issue with price. If you wish to register and prepay then we will drop the price for all who register and prepay to $40 dollars for 3 pulls. We will do our best to satisfy our customers but this is as far as we can go.

its a dyno day not a dyno session.besides most of the cars were making more power after thier 1st pass so whats your point?if every car had a five to ten mintute cool down period you would have alot of un happy waiting customers.i also dont recall a single car redynoing while the rollers are still going.please know your facts before you say something.i didnt here 1 customer who dynoed complain about cool down periods etc.they all seemed to be happy and satisfied with the service they were recieving.btw great turn out and had a blast!!!best dyno day i have went to so far!!not starting a dyno day war or anything because i have been to both and had a good time.people at lujan are cool as hell and willy hooked me up a while back and fixed my truck in 1 day when i really needed it back asap he made it happened!!not taking anything away from lujan whats so ever!!both cool places!!

the dyno day at fynetune today put lujans dyno days to shame.....fynetune is without a doubt the best dyno shop in south florida.Lets analyze this post. I have a few questions.

What has the Lujan folks done, to make you think, that Fyntune is better?
What did Fyntune guys do differently? What makes them better?

OR Why did this dyno day at Fyntune put any dyno day at Lujan at a shame?

I am asking as an outsider. I have never been to any Lujan dyno days, and I sure have never been to Fyntune.

i think d@nny just had a bad expirence before at lujan or something....i have been to both and i have had fun on lujans dyno days as well..i would say go to many as many dyno days as you can just to hang out etc.you will always have a good time when a bunch of locals meet up in my opinion because its getting harder and harder to do it legally now a days.....again lujan has done some work to my truck and i have nothing but good things to say about them and thier service /staff!

yesterday was a huge turnout! I came down the street and just saw a shitload of cars posted up on the side. Nice cars, music, food, and people just trying to make their car faster.....great dyno day!

Okay :dunno:

So why did we get put to shame?? two different dyno days, two different places, two different purposes.. I have nothing against Fynetune.. matter a fact i went there after work, Place is awesome.. so i dont understand how a "NOBODY" :jerkit: can come up and say some stupid thing like this??

Again, I have nothing bad to say about Fynetune.. I just thought this comment was uncalled for from someone who has nothing to do with the Company.

i wasn't there long enough yesterday to make any comments. The talon i was with was having problems and the ecu switched back to the factory settings. The e-prom might have went bad so we couldn't connect with it.

was that the black Talon?

Well i must say it was a awsome turn-out. It was good to know my fellow country men own a tuner shop right around the coner from me BIG UP to all yadie that was der

Almost black. Wheels were the same color as the car.

"Fynetune puts Lujan to shame"I would like to know as well. Seems like the poster just wanted to stir the pot.

IMO a very out of place comment, specially without valid facts to back it up.

I stated my opinion if you dont like it I really dont give a fuck. I really wasnt trying to knock lujan as a shop . But I went to a dyno day at Lujan and it was a cluster fuck. So this is where my statement came from. Dont like it? then cry me a river.... I really dont care.

maybe one day I can be a "somebody" LMFAO ....

your opinion is skewed then, how is it a cluster fuck? you come in, sign your name on the paper and put your car on the dyno when your name is called. always seems to work fine.

I barely come on this board since every thread is an arugment about some unrelated topic or a conversation between 2 people in a thread about some unrelated topic. IE...going in a thread about a 600 hp evo and turning it into and arugment about what a DSM is....

If you didnt like my comment ....thats your problem. Its still my opinion and I have no reason to explain myself. It wasnt ment to knock lujan as a shop ive heard they are great ...but my opinion of a dyno day that I went to there is exactly that...my opinion....so who are you to sit here and tell me my opinion is wrong or im a "nobody" because you dont like what I said....

so how are you any different from us? the original post is about fynetunes dyno day and does not mention lujan at all, yet you come in and say "fynetunes dyno day puts lujans to shame" isnt that straying from the original topic? practice what you preach.

You deliberately said something offensive for no apparent reason. Of course someone is going to get on your case for that. What the hell did you expect?

And since its your opinion about fynetune and lujan; tell us then, on what grounds does your opinion stand on? What makes you think that one is better than the other? Since you said "it puts lujan to shame", I'm going to take a wild guess and say that it must be something very messed up about lujan to say something like that. Please, enlighten us...Because "it was a big clusterfuck" is the dumbest thing that you can base on any opinion. So that won't cut it.
