I just recently started playing this game again. I have a 1995 Honda Integra Type R (DC2). It's up to 297 HP to the crank. It's quite fast, runs mid 14's on the 400M dash.
I destroy beginner events, but when I try for the proffesional i get spanked. I can barely keep up with the 4th place car. I don't know if my tires suck and it's just not handling well, but I'm understeering like a mother fucker.
I need some advice, LoL. I'm about to get rid of the R, and go AWD.
The stage 2 turbo's a beast, on straightaway's it kicks, and the nitrous helps. But when it comes to cornering the infamous Type R handling just isn't there...
any insight from you pro's?

LMAO. 297 hp car?! Keep doing beginner events until you have about I think 30 grand. Then go to the tuning area on the bottom of the map and go to the first tuning company you see. It should have a vw r32. Its boosted, it AWD, and its fast as heeeeellllll. Then mod it if you have enough money to do so.
Then go to special events (rally) and complete a set of races (the forward and reverse races) you get a rally car when you win. Sell the rally car. Repeat this process until you get the amount of money that you want.

Well yeah, I understand 297 hp fwd isn't a big deal but damn, it should be enough when you're racing pegeots.
And when I get this amount of money that I want what should by next step be?

Getting your liscenses. Then do all of rally, then do one make races (you go to japan-nissan-one make races) Then do professional events, then endurance events, then extreme events.

GT4 is more of a lan gaming... there is a way but haven't figured out how
There is a way to play it online. BUT, you have to install a program and you can only connect ONE playstation per computer.
Damn if only I can remember what/how/where this program is.
It is like gamespy deal, where you have to browse certain rooms and see what people are playing. I beleive Sid, plays it online. <-- He is the one that told me about this. Then I did some retardnet searching and found it.

I believe the only way to really do that is with a game shark. There has never been any kind of code for any of the GT games....

correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you already get all the tracks.
The cars are your only worries but with the abysmal selection on GT4 you will forget about that really quick.

u can buy a game save on ebay, mail em ur card they mail it back with the save with all the cars + moola. but they're highway robbery right now

I didn't do that lol.. I drafted every car... it was a close race but if the car that is in 2nd place while you're in first drafts you you're fucked... so you gotta watch the 2nd place car and aviod it drafting you... since the other GT-R's brake on turns you don't have to since its the test track...

my ps2 scratches my gt4 game!! I hate that shit, the only game I play and the system scratches it. I got it the 1st day it came out and I noticed it started freezing, I looked at the back and it had round scratch marks along the inside. I returned it and got another one, checked the game b4 putting it in. took extra care of the game, if it wasnt in the system it was in its proper case, few weeks later same shit wtf. my only problem is that this is the only game this happends to, not even my gt3 grrrr
