I know some of you guys n gals are also worry about the next guy knowing what you have ,so im not going to even ask what's in your ride.

Basically

Pros and Cons :

Of all Headunits, Speakers, Amps that you've encounter or even post some comments or reviews about it..

Where to get the best deals?

We need some more life in this Section and no one seems to even bother here.

Any Installers on this site that works for themselfs or Company?

Decks

Eclipse 5504 - damn awsome deck, 2nd in the lineup of best sounding decks Ive ever owned. 5v RCA outputs rule. Simple easy to operate, and no cheesy internal amp to make the deck sound like crap. RCA outputs ONLY. 3 sets of RCA outputs

Eclipse 55040 - same as above but is 1st in the lineup of best sound. This deck brings 8v to the RCA table and again no idiotic internal amp. 3 Sets of RCA outputs

Nakamichi 35z - 3rd best sounding deck. Amazingly simple yet effective. Retains stock look and has 1 set of RCA outputs iirc. Internal 45x4 amp that Ill never use.

Alpine CDA 7850 - 4th best sounding deck. Blows all the other alpines out of the water which speaks volumes for how Alpine's quality has gone to sh!t in the past few years. Only 2 sets of RCA outputs so it kinda sucked for pushing subs. Of course the standard, internal 45x4 amp that I'll never use.

Alpine CDA 9835 - 5th best sounding deck. Also what resides in my 4runner now. AWSOME display. In fact the best display of any single din deck I've seen. Time correction is very nice as well as the 6 custom eq curves, 3 way crossovers, bass alignment and 365 different colors. The ONE drawback is that you have to play with the 5band EQ to change the sound and that is a PITA to get to and adjust while driving. (Actually impossible to do so) Every other deck listed above you can change 'bass,' 'mid,' and 'trebble' while driving and not even looking at the deck. 50x4 with an option to turn off the internal amp - me likey this feature since I dont use the deck's output. Also allows you to turn off the RCA outputs going to the sub.

Alpine CDA 9831 - 6th best. All the features of the above (ie - complicated) with a horrible display. Worst display on the market imo.

Alpine CDM 7815 - HA! Dont even bother thinking about it! Your OEM deck is better unless your vehicle is 8 or more years old...

Amplifiers

Zapco C2K-9.0XD2 - THE PINNICLE of high end amplifiers. I have NEVER owned an amp as badass as these things. 2200watts rms x 1 @ 2ohm, 1100 watts rms x 2 @ 1ohm. They have adjustable clip settings, adjustable turn on delays, adjustable thermal protection, power output displays, VAC voltage, battery voltage, etc. And all of these things are displayed on the remote displays and are adjustable at the displays! Selectable 24dB/octave or 48dB/octave cut. High pass crossover, low pass crossover, subsonic filter, and rediculously efficient! The only draw back is that they are squirrely. The will occasionally reset their own gains - gain is controlled by the on board computer, which periodically crashes i guess making the amp return to default settings... Occasionally will jump into protect for no reason, but always comes out. 4 different levels of protect as well. The not only sound the best of any amp I've owned, they are the most powerful, and the most efficient. (Proud owner of 4. :D)

RF 100g2 - Good ole rockford engineering! Even today I can still fry an egg on the heatsink! THIS IS A GOOD THING - it tells you that the heat sink is doing its job! I'd rather have that heat in the heatsink than in the mosfets of the amp! 25 x 2 @ 4ohms, 50 x 2 @ 2ohms, and of course 100 x 1 @ 4ohm. (Birthsheet listed amp out at 156w x 1 @ 4ohm at 12.5v) This amp currently pushes the Orion 63cx's in my kickpanels. Very good very reliable amp. Never has it failed and always sounds good.

RF 800a4 - Another one of rockford's oldies! This amp I have mixed feelings about....more later gtg
