I was looking around for a friend and I think i just found my next car!
TOYOTA CELICA GT, convertable, 5 spd, alarm, only 66K mi, $9,250 OBO
this thing is just the sex, it better look just as good in person when i go to look at it!

I know its a long shot but search for a All Trac GT four?
im not a totally big fan of convertiables tho..
but is it for person daily driving use or are you looking at it as a Project car?

and the price of gas as well?
I brought my Max because I wanted a roomier spacer car, as well for family to acutally Enjoy the car instead of a exhuast making turbo Altima.
But im sure you consider all that anyways.
Keep searching im sure you can find one for under 8gs ..
Altho the mileage is low..probally a chick owned it before
most likely, owned by an older person. but after i get more pics and inverstigate more i'll pull the carfax report and see what turns up on there.
and no i have no wife or kids. no girlfriend right now either. so i could care less about that deal. and beside it's a vert that might help my situation, lol.
it's also a 5speed, WOOT got to love the 5speeds.
well after all night of looking i've come down to the fact that only these 3 body kits exist for this car http://www.toora.com/ge/toycel94.htm they all suck nuts. there is one more that i found a picture of on ebay, but that sucked nuts as well!
anyone else know of any other styles available. one that actually looks good!

the all trac gt 4 did not make it to the us of course but the gen before it came out in all trac turbo.

if you want something different. You can do all-trac gt4 body work on the convertible(I'm sure it'll be a first). a 3sgte swap will turn that girls car into a mean bitch.

a guy in australia actually put a 1UZFE into a celica and made it rwd. If he did that to this celica. The look on peoples faces would be priceless.

For that kind of money you could pic up a 98-00 Camaro or Trans Am w/ a LS1 and start with some real power. Maybe not a vert, but probably T-tops.

WHAT?! NO! If my camera wasn't broken...You should've seen what someone did to their celica....jesus, I'd ride it! Its a convertible, Painted triple back with many coats of clear, black rims, blacked out headlights and tailights, HIDs (i think it was 10000k or 12k I dunno...) 5% tint. His interior is carbon fiber based. He also has a nice sound system (15 inch subs:ohnoes: ) He is on boost and the engine is swapped but I never got around asking which engine he switched it to. It was pretty quick too. But then again, phil might be right since you also said you probably won't mod it. Then its a chick car.

Celicas can be made to look right and if i were to get that one it would be for the overal condition and fact of low milage. The interior of it as i looked at it today is in perfect shape! looks like the thing has been in a garage it's whole life.
Though the fact that the kit that i use to like for this car no longer exists it seems and all the new ones i'm finding are about hideous (yes i checked that like given by whoever). there is one kit that has potential but the matching rear bumper is just ass.
unless i can find a kit that i can slap on there that will make the car look like i want it to, i'm not going to get it. I have always like celicas, unlike all other cars out there they have progressively made the celica lighter each year, were as cars like the eclipse are now 500 or better pounds heavier than the last years model.
I am currently looking to find maybe an MR2 or something.
for the one sugesting camaro, no can't stand them for myself. I never carred for them to much. and with gas right now you have to out of your mind. I'd rather take a smaller car with a 4 or 6 cyl through a few K into the motor and have it runing 12-13s. and still have the nice gas milage on the street.

All japaneese body kits BUT very high end price..
At least you dont have to worry about seeing the kits too much cause only the guys that are willing to pay the price will have em..and thats not a everyday thing. which is a good thing..

i did find a kit that i like for the 2000 + celica but I didn't want to have to find a 2000+ celica.
I did however find through a friend a mr2 i might be looking into. guy wants 7k for it.

Maybe I can help you find a peice that flows with it.I wish i had pics of it, i can't seem to find any pics of the kit. I've search several forums and haven't found anything yet. I'm now just looking at getting something other than the celica, maybe just go with the mr2 if it turns out be in good condition.

he is right, you can get a 300zx, an srt4 or an evo, and even a wrx for that kind of money
just have to really look for them, but they are out there
the celica is currently out of the running for now. i'm looking at the MR2 a lot harder

The carpet and everything else is in the best condition possible, even has the original MR2 mats, I may be getting the original rims with it as well, depends on a few things. it has a short shift kit, full exhaust, the rims and tires you see, it's a T-top as well

Ya man, fuck that Celica. A close friend of mine had 2 turbo MR2's done up nicely. Sucks he just sold them a couple weeks ago and picked up a 03 z06. I drove them a bunch and it was prolly the most fun car id ever driven. Id dare to say almost more fun then my supra. :eek: lol They are so nimble and easy to manuever.. and with the boost :thumbup:
Id say go with a nice MR2 turbo, or that new tacoma you were talking about. I wouldnt bother with the celica if i were you.
**You'll become a great mechanic owning an mr2 turbo, especially if you mod and run it hard..not to say that is a bad thing, thats the fun of it aint it. Also, is this gonna be ur only car? Or a secondary?

well in post number 36 you will see the car that i am trying to get as of now. i talked to the bank this morning and they are going to setup the check for me to get tomorrow, they are open for acouple hours on saterday. then it's off down to fortmyers to get the car, it's so damn sexy and clean, can't wait to get it.
for the time being i will have that car and my truck, but i'm going to be selling the truck and having just the car for about 6 months or so. then i'll turn around and buy me the X-runner. so i will be back up to 2 vehicles. so for a little while i'll have one. but not for 2 long. just look at the picture of it. actually i'll attach another here now.
