I wouldn't race a stock 89 camary or a 89 camary with just an i/e out of respect for me... all I have is an intake... but i know where my car stands next to a 89 camary... hell I know where my car stands with 2002 camary's. They're not that fast.. (I4's). I wouldn't go talking smack about Toyota in-general just because of the Supra's... sure they have a bad ass engine... but so does Nissan... so its more of an equal thing really.
Just cause the guy that did the FWD t RWD swap had more time on his hands to do the swap doesn't mean everyone is going to go out and do it. Mind you, this guy was the first and probably the last (for a loooong time) to do a FWD to RWD swap... its a lot of work and most people would rather do the SSS AWD swap than a RWD swap. Still too much work and money to change an Altima's drivetrain.

Which toyota engine wasn identical to the SR20DET? Only different was the piston strokes were smaller... I'm not too aware of Toyota engine codes... I think it was found in an ol' school corolla (RWD)

No, no... I know that dood lol... but you do realize that Ant only thinks the 2J = teh ownage of all car's... where clearly 2J = RB pretty much.. I was asking which one was the identical block that toyota modeled after the SR20DET... a mechanic told me that its the same engine just it has smaller piston rods... which they had smaller strokes than that of an SR... dunno if it was the 4AGE or something else. He said its the same block just smaller strokes.

Apparently the 1J is right below the RB26DETT... as I read the 2J-GTE = better than a RB26DETT due to the cost of getting an RB and that you need to do more work on it to get more power out of it (apparently). I.E. pistons/cam etc etc.. as to the 2J where you can get rather high numbers on a stock bottom end and such at low RPM's... unlike the RB which needs more engine work and still needs high RPM's to get the high power... but of course this is not stock for stock lol... ;)

some of you guys are dumb as fuck. The majority of you all who know me know I respect all cars. When they are powerful. Like yani said if it was a G20 I'd be praising it up and down. The only reason I made my comment was because danny has an altima. On top of that, I'd proudly drive my old car before that jelly bean piece of shit that they were designed to look like stock. The only half decent one is damir's. I'm not saying that because I know him and don't want to piss him off. I just like the way his own looks for some reason compared to Headtima's car. Now some of you jackasses want to come and tell me we don't need the SR to make power. NO SHIT SHERLOCK. I didn't just come into the scene yesterday. As far as Robi. My pedestal is there so I shall stand on it. Marc got it right I'm the ultimate hater and I will say what I feel.
On a side note. I emailed the guy and he said to get the car to where it is now he's spent about 15g's. To do one completely stock it'd be around 5g's plus some extras.

Evan... when was the KA ever a weak motor? SR vs KA = almost identical and people choose the KA more since they don't have to swap it out... SR = more work and more money due to rare parts... 240 people either SR or RB... Altima people are KA or SR and mostly all stick with KA's... the KA isn't a weak engine and I'm sure you know this and you just want to start shit lol...

A built KA with proper work... broken in and boost.. should be able to run 11's... now the drive has to be good and able to handle that amount of boost... plus good tires... etc etc... for an altima to achieve 11... it'll need a lot more than just a lot of psi and being built... I'm happy with 12's.. but wouldn't mind a 11 or 10s car lol... but if the altima can hit 12 from its already 16/17 lol... :) no matter what anyone said the altima will be hated lol...

Fuck!!! I didnt want to say anything until I can get some pics up (you know the whole "I'm gonna do this and that" /ricer) but ant is pushin it. Single cam? I havent been single cam for 2 days now. DOHC (not saying which though), intake, headers, exhaust, vtec controller, and some more rice shit. You cant beat me, I'd embarass you. I'm going to do a dyno run with what I have now and see how much that changes once the other things go in. Now I have a whole horde of things in my garage (I just moved on monday) for another surprise. And the engine thats going in that car would murder you stock, o"K"? lolz. Ant beat me...Even with my old engine stock, I'd smack you silly.

A built KA should be running close to low 14's... N/A... with boost... should go under 13s... unless you baby it.
