We have a 1992 SL1 that was given to us. 1.9 Liter, 5 speed, has run ok until last weekend when it just up and quit running.

Engine cranks but does not start.
It gets gas.
It gets spark.
Has 160psi on all cylinders.
Check Engine light comes on with key, so I assume the ECU is ok...

I thought about the crank positioning sensor, but if that were the case, the cps would be preventing spark.
Things that have been changed; spark plugs, wires, coolant temp sensor...thats all as far as I know right now.

Any advice/suggestions?

Ok serious now.

Automatic or manual

Did you check all the fuses(really important, can´t overlook this)

Could possibly be a burn relay

Is possibly electrical, so you will have to trace the problem(trial and error here)

all fuses ok, relays all appear to function properly.

it's a 5 speed, and no, it's not the neutral safety switch...

our last hope is getting engine codes, we're trying to get a scanner for tomorrow.
what a pile of shit this car is.
